Maybe we are getting closer.It was positive because Lee knows what Im talking about and what I think. And I know what they think. We can now move forward. At least were talking now.Benitez won promotion from the Championship at the first time of asking in 2017 before securing a top-10 Premier League finish last season.And he has guided Newcastle to top-flight safety this term, despite having limited funds to spend last summer. It has made the 59-year-old a firm fans favourite on Tyneside.He said: I know the fans are supporting me and the fans are trying to convince me to stay and they try to go for the emotional way, like they did in the first year.“I know that and I appreciate that. I am really pleased with that because I am happy in the city, I am happy here and as I have said before, the staff, everybody is doing a very good job and we are very comfortable here.”
