West Ham United have announced they will rename the east stand of the London Stadium in honour of club legend Billy Bonds.He’s the club’s record appearance holder and won the FA Cup twice with the Hammers, in 1975 and 1980.22

Bobby Moore and Sir Trevor Brooking already have areas at the arena named after them, which was also the case at their former home Upton Park.The renaming ceremony will take place on March 2, when Manuel Pellegrini’s side host Newcastle United in the Premier League.Bonds told the club’s official website:I have so many great memories of this club and this really is the icing on the cake. Its a great honour and means so much to me and my family.22
