Burnley manager Sean Dyche has a message for Tottenham ahead of Premier League clash Well make it awkward
Sean Dyche has warned Tottenham his in-form Burnley side are back to their stubborn best ahead of their return to Premier League action next week. The Clarets have been treated to a warm-weather training camp in Portugal as they prepare for the Turf Moor clash, after recovering from a nightmare end to 2018 to produce their best run of top flight results in 44 years.Burnley looked in serious trouble after a torrid run of just one win in 12 league games left them in the relation zone. But Dyche says their 5-1 home defeat to Everton on Boxing Day was the kick his team needed, with the Lancashire club unbeaten in their last seven league games.Burnley beat Brighton 3-1 last time out in the Premier League – they now sit 15th in the table2

Their run of four wins and three draws including a 2-2 thriller at Manchester United is the clubs best in the top flight since 1975. The only team on a better run is Ole Gunnar Solskjaers Red Devils.Dyche joined talkSPORT on Thursday live from Portugal to discuss his teams return to form, and he is thankful for the timing ahead of their clash against title-chasing Tottenham.Speaking on the Sports Breakfast, the manager said: The game against Everton was a really tough result, it wasnt like us. I spoke with the group and these lads have been fantastic over a long period and I never question their will and desire, but we werent just playing with that edge, and we have to play with that.We have to. Were not good enough to roll around the Premier League just picking up wins when we feel like it, were not good enough for that. We have to play with that edge and we have to be on our game all the times. The players deserve a massive amount of credit. They have taken ownership, theyve got their heads down, pulled together as a group and weve actually played well. That edge and the belief had come back into the side.Weve got a tough one next week against Tottenham, who were fantastic last night [in their 3-0 Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund].Tottenham will be full of confidence travelling to Turf Moor after their brilliant win over Bundesliga leaders Dortmund in the Champions League2

Theyre a good team, I like Mauricio Pochettino and everything they do, but in the form were in at the moment were back to being that really hardy side, and teams find it really awkward and really difficult to play against us.So weve got to continue that form.Listen back to Sean Dyche on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast IN FULL above
