A Hillsborough survivor had his day made after a moving gesture by James Milner during Liverpools open top bus parade.Milner requested that the bus stop outside the home of Andrew Devine so he could show him the Champions League trophy.Getty2

The Reds proudly paraded the trophy on the streets of Liverpool with an estimated 750,000 attending.The bus was heading back to their Melwood training ground when Milner asked that bus to stop outside Mr Devines home in south Liverpool.Getty2

Liverpool paraded the trophy following their Champions League final win

Milner then lent over the side of the bus so the 53-year-old fan could see the trophy.Andrew’s mother Hilary told the Liverpool Echo: “It was averykind gesture and it made Andrew’s day.”Mr Devine has been in a wheelchair since suffering serious injuries at Hillsborough in 1989.His brain was deprived of oxygen when his chest was crushed and he was not expected to survive the day. Milner has previously met Mr Devine during visits to the Melwood training ground.The Liverpool vice-captain came off the bench in Madrid as the Reds beat Tottenham 2-0 to claim their sixth European title.
