Solskjaer was less than impressed by United’s performance at Wolves
Before last Saturday’s match and a Premier League loss at Arsenal (United’s only league defeat under Solskjaer), life at the Old Trafford helm was going very sweetly for Solskjaer. The Norwegian has helped a number of United’s players get back to their best, none more so than Pogba, who was frequently at loggerheads with Mourinho. The midfielder has scored nine goals and provided eight assists under Solskjaer but was not at the races during United’s defeat at Wolves.

On Pogba’s performance, Cascarino said in his column for The Times: “Pogba has done brilliantly since Solskjaer came in but against Wolves on Saturday he reminded me of the in-and-out player that he was under Jose Mourinho.“He was doing what he liked at times but not affecting the opposition.“I dont know whether the past few weeks are as good as it gets with him.” It’s not clear whether Solskjaer will be named United boss on a full-time basis although reports claim the announcement will come during the current international break. And Cascarino claimed that if Solskjaer is the manager for the summer transfer window, he may look to “cash in on Pogba for a lot of money”.Cascarino added:“If Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gets the Manchester United job in the summer, Paul Pogba will present one of his biggest dilemmas.Pogba’s future at Old Trafford could be in doubt, believes Cascarino2

“If so, Solskjaer may wish to cash in on him for a lot of money. I would be tempted to replace him with someone he can trust a bit more.“It will be a real challenge of Solskjaers management skills.”
