Manchester United news: ‘He’s been fantastic’ – Victor Lindelof reveals his admiration for Jose Mourinho
Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof has heaped praise on manager Jose Mourinho after his recent improvements at Old Trafford.The Swede hasn’t had the best start to life at Old Trafford and has been criticised by supporters at several points this season, with Jamie Carragher also condemning him early on.1

Mourinho was on the hunt for a new centre-back in the summer too, which could have been a blow to the 24-year-old, but he’s now coming through the other side and showing a big development.And Lindelof has put this down to excellent coaching for the Portuguese boss.“Ever since I came, he’s been very important to me,” the defender said. “He talks to me, tries to help me, he gives me – how do you say it in English… to improve my game and stuff like that.“He’s been very important. I think he’s been fantastic and I’m very happy to have him as a coach.”And after an extended run of games the Swede is still in a good place, despite a tiring schedule.“It feels good,” Lindelof said. “I’ve been playing a lot of games since the start of the season, I’m just trying to keep on going and doing the best for the team.“At the moment I feel good – my body is fresh.“No, I never doubt [myself]. I’ve always been confident. You have to work hard, you know.”
